John,

This month the Senate sent a bipartisan, $1.2 trillion dollar infrastructure bill -- The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act -- to the House of Representatives.

In a moment, I'm going to ask for your help to pass one of the largest infrastructure investments that Americans have ever seen. But first, I want you to know what's in this bill and why you should be excited to help.

Apart from being one of the most robust commitments to rebuilding America's infrastructure in well over a generation, the bill is projected to add an average of about 2 million jobs per year for the next decade. Infrastructure jobs tend to be union jobs with good wages and benefits -- this will help workers struggling to get ahead here on Long Island.

Not convinced? Take a look at what we're investing in:
- Roads and bridges
- Coastal resiliency infrastructure
- Railroads & public transit
- Power grids
- Broadband internet
- Clean water infrastructure
- Recycling and waste facilities upgrades
- Airports
- Electric vehicle charging stations
- Electric school buses

And while this bill helps Americans from coast to coast, if you've been to La Guardia Airport, ridden on the LIRR or Amtrak, gotten backed up in traffic headed out east or up Island -- you know this will be a big deal for Long Islanders.

Please, if you're ready to invest in American roads, bridges, green technology and so much more -- sign our petition urging the House to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act as soon as possible.

This piece of legislation is a huge deal and would make a big difference for Long Islanders. It's so close to the finish line, let's get it done.

Thank you.
