Well, it’s official: this week, we submitted our testimony about the urgent need for Court expansion to the Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court.
When I founded Take Back the Court three years ago, almost no one was talking about Court expansion. Now, more than 8,500 members of this community have joined us to urge our policymakers, including President Biden, to expand the Supreme Court to protect our democracy and the rights of all Americans.

With the new Supreme Court term beginning soon, the need to restore balance to our judiciary by adding seats to the Court becomes more urgent by the day. Just this week, the Court announced that it will hear a pivotal gun control case brought by the NRA on November 3. That’s in addition to a case that could abolish Roe v. Wade.
I know that this community won’t stay silent while the stolen far-right Court majority makes major decisions that will impact millions of Americans for decades to come. And I want you to know that we won’t either: we have a lot of exciting things planned for this fall to make sure that our lawmakers hear our voices and do everything they can to protect our democracy and our rights.
