HUGE WIN! Cop City Tabled

Cop City Tabled Three Weeks!

Photo from the Stop Cop City rally on Sunday

In an incredible blow to the city's business establishment, the City Council voted on Monday 8-7 to table the proposal to tear down Atlanta's largest green space and build a massive "Cop City" training center. But the fight isn't over yet. Cop City will be up for a vote in three weeks, and it's important we win that. Atlanta DSA plans to keep up our efforts to educate and mobilize the public to Defend the Forest and Stop Cop City! See below for ways you can get plugged in.

City Council is planning to lease 381 acres of forested land to the Atlanta Police Foundation for the purpose of building a massive, privately funded cop training facility! DARC is organizing to save the forest and #StopCopCity!
