Let's Get the Family and Fire Fighter
Protection Act Signed Into Law!

Send a letter to the New York State Governor urging them to sign our JustGreen Partnership's ([link removed]) Family and Fire Fighter Protection Act into law. This legislation, which is supported by both environmentalists & fire fighters, will eliminate the use of dangerous toxic chemicals in flame retardants.

Flame retardants can be found throughout your home - in furniture, mattresses, and consumer electronics - creating multiple points of exposure to these toxic chemicals. Studies show that exposure to these chemicals causes endocrine and thyroid disruption, neurological and immune system disruptions, cancer, and adverse fetal and child development. Studies have also shown that people of color and their children are more likely to have higher levels of these chemicals in their bodies. And these chemicals are harmful to fire fighters as well, creating dangerously toxic smoke when these materials burn.
