John,

Social Venture Circle and the American Sustainable Business Council invite you to join us Wednesday, August 25 at 1pm ET for a conversation on reconnection ecology with Susan B. Eirich Ph.D. (Earthfire Institute) and Sierra Flanigan (Living Lab). This program is designed and convened by SVC's Livable Planet Working Group.

In this conversation, Susan and Sierra will explore the essence of reconnection ecology, how it shows up in our lives, and how it can be a portal for all of us to more deeply connect with our Earth.

Referred to as the missing link among current ecological approaches, Reconnection Ecology focuses on the need for an unflinching assessment and reprioritization of our personal and professional life choices based on deep connection with other living beings. When we base such introspection on two very different but equally important sources of information: proven scientific research and our own personal experiences with nonhuman life, we’re more able and willing to take effective action that supports a healthy, thriving Earth.

Reconnection Ecology moves us beyond a task-list view of environmental activities to a more permanent, joyful, sustainable lifestyle and philosophy.
