The last batch of mail-in ballots in the Newsom recall election are hitting mailboxes this week. Californians are voting, which means this could be one of our last chances to make an impact on who wins this race.

Poll after poll shows Republicans gaining on Governor Newsom. Right now, Larry Elder -- a radio host who openly supported Trump -- is in the lead on the Republican side.

Not stepping up means that someone who is anti-science will be put in charge of our entire state. He opposes a minimum wage increase, gun violence reforms, and used his radio show to espouse anti-vax conspiracies about population control.

We can't let someone like that anywhere near the governorship, and we need a flood of donations to stop him. Plain and simple.

Here's how the ballot works:

First, voters are asked if they support the recall -- yes or no.

If they say yes, then they vote for one of over 40 candidates. And because there are so many candidates on the ballot, a guy like Larry Elder could be elected with just a tiny fraction of the vote.

Republicans are more emboldened than ever to defeat Newson. We need Democrats need to step up:
