John,
As the situation in Afghanistan deteriorates, the need to evacuate Afghans rapidly increases.
Earlier in the week, the Pentagon announced that they’re expecting to bring between 5,000 and 9,000 Afghans per day to the U.S. This will not be easy.
As I told CNN
International yesterday, the Biden administration must rapidly deploy the resources and military aircraft necessary to get individuals out of the country as safely as possible, and we need to rally the international community to support and welcome refugees. And as I mentioned in The xxxxxx, we need to make it a priority to get people to safety, process their applications in a timely manner, and work with non-governmental organizations to welcome these families.
Our partners are already working around the clock to resettle Afghan nationals in the U.S --
and they need our help. If you’re able to do so, please consider donating, volunteering, advocating, and sharing this list widely.

Afghan allies and their families risked everything to serve alongside our troops and diplomats, and Afghan refugees are fleeing an increasingly desperate situation. The U.S. must act to help and protect them in any way we can.
Thank you for stepping up during this trying time, John.
