Fulfillment Fund

This past spring, we said farewell to Fulfillment Fund’s founding CEO, Andrea Deering Cockrum. She led the organization for more than 25 years before retiring in the late 2000s. During this tenure, Fulfillment Fund grew from a grass-roots volunteer organization into a national model for college access programs that provide mentoring, classroom outreach, college counseling, and college scholarships. Thanks to Andrea’s vision, commitment, and passion to continually expand the work of the organization, college access became a reality for over 20,000 unique students.

The Fulfillment Fund community is saddened by the loss of Andrea, and our thoughts are with her family all of those who she touched so deeply. We are grateful for the firm foundation she has given us. We hope to honor her legacy by continuing to serve our students with the same passion and commitment she demonstrated every day. To honor Andrea’s incredible legacy, Fulfillment Fund created the
Andrea Cockrum Memorial Fund, dedicated to meeting emergency student needs that pose a challenge to the pursuit of their educational goals. Andrea truly lived what it meant to support students through their greatest challenges, and this fund commemorates that spirit, while allowing Fulfillment Fund to respond to critical needs which are obstacles for students pursuing their postsecondary educational dreams.
