Yes on Recall: 47.6%
No on Recall: 48.8%
** CA recall polling average as of 8.18.21 **
John --
We finally have a polling average from the experts at
FiveThirtyEight. If you've been reading our emails, there should be no surprise. It shows Newsom barely beating the recall effort:
48.8% to 47.6%.
If the election were held today, it could truly go either way. With final ballots arriving in mailboxes this week, and the election less than a month away, we're sounding the alarm to make sure more Democrats get out to vote.
We have a strategy to beat this recall: 1.) We're treating every single day of this election as an opportunity to get out the vote, especially since Californians can vote by mail and return their ballot at any time and 2.) the more we sound the alarm and reach undecided voters, the more we can drive up Newsom's numbers.
But we can't do that without your support:
Will you chip in $3 to help us beat back this far-right recall? Any amount you give will be split directly to Gavin’s Stop the Republican Recall Campaign.

Here's what's at stake if we lose:
» Pro-Trump, anti-science Republicans Larry Elder, Kevin Falcouner, or even Caitlyn Jenner takes over as the top executive of our state
» One of these three would be put in charge of our response to the Delta variant, wildfires, and the climate crisis
» Our ability to defend the House majority in 2022 becomes less likely with the GOP in control of California
There's no way we can let that happen.
