California is the first state to force grade school students to learn a horrific sex-ed curriculum.

The curriculum includes classes on gender theory, masturbation, sexting, and much more disturbing content. These classes are now mandatory, and parents are no longer allowed to opt their child out.

Join them in signing the petition against the disturbing sex education curriculum that is plaguing California schools and infringing on parental rights.

Dear John,

The liberal agenda to sexualize children in the classroom is growing around the country. New lesson plans on LGBT history and science, gender theory, masturbation, and hiding promiscuity are just downright frightening.

After the pressure by liberals and the LGBT lobby, the California State Legislature made California the first state to make sex education classes mandatory.

We are asking you to stand with parents and concerned citizens across California.

Join us in signing the petition to California legislator and policymakers, against the harmful sex education curriculum that is plaguing California schools and asking them not to eliminate parental rights.

States are starting to follow California’s lead. New Jersey, Illinois, and Colorado are requiring all students to learn lesson plans that promote lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender content. If we don’t face it here, sooner or later, this wave will hit in other states.

Students are taught to embrace a progressive attitude toward human sexuality and to affirm and celebrate lifestyles even if they conflict with their religious and moral upbringing.

For decades, leftist lobbies and interest groups have imposed California lawmakers to enact policies that promote provocative lifestyle choices that strip our children of their innocence. One such example is the California law.

Parental rights are facing increasing attacks, particularly in our nation’s educational institutions. Our public school system has strayed away from its original purpose of providing free education to all children in a manner that affirms the values and authority of parents. Today, public schools have assumed the role of parents by mandating what values children must adopt morally, socially, and philosophically.

School officials assert the authority to teach sex education any way they see fit:

Complete disregard for the age-appropriateness of the materials being used.

Expanded sexualized instruction into other topics.

Encouraging kindergarten-age children to explore different sexual orientations and gender identities.

On August 24th, thousands of California parents protested the California Healthy Youth Act and the agenda to strip parental rights and sexualize the classroom at the Let Parents Decide conference at Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills.

CitizenGO wants to be a part of this extraordinary civic movement against mandatory sexual education curriculum in California public schools.

Help us show these parents that they are not alone and stand with them against this harmful agenda and curriculum.

Sign the petition against the harmful sex education curriculum that is plaguing California schools. Raise your voice asking California lawmakers for respect of parental rights.

Unfortunately, federal courts have failed to properly preserve the fundamental right of parents to direct their child’s education. Courts have ruled that parents do not have the right to object to inappropriate textbooks or teaching materials used in their children’s classes, that they cannot remove their children from class when the school is teaching religiously or morally objectionable topics, and that they do not have a constitutionally protected right to know what their children are being taught.

Once the decision is made to send a child to public school, parents forfeit any further control over what their child is taught.

Parents cannot rely on judges to uphold their right to direct the upbringing of their children, so they’ve turned to protect this right through the legislative process.

But there is still hope out there. If we put our forces together and speak out through this CitizenGO campaign, we have a chance so that parental rights must be protected in future legislation and policy decisions, including but not limited to:

The right to be notified by the school if the child is enrolled in a course that includes sex education, family planning, discussions of sexual orientation or gender identity, diversity issues, and extreme violence

The right to opt their child out of any course or school activity that is morally or religiously offensive to the parent

The right to review all curricula and teaching materials used in a course in which the child is enrolled

The right to be notified prior to any activity that includes information about contraceptive services, including confidential medical services, whether on school property or offsite during school hours.

Let’s stand united in declaring that parents know best for their children! Not lawmakers, and not school district officials. Help California parents take back classrooms. Sign here.

Thank you,

Gregory Mertz and the entire CitizenGO team

P.S. I realize that many who are being asked to sign this petition are not from California. California's parents are on the frontlines of the cultural war we face today. Let’s join like-minded parents and other active community members, together, to stand against this mandate. First, it’s California, Colorado, Illinois, and New Jersey. Then, it might be your state. We are fighting an ideology that’s growing, and we must stop it now.

More information:

Real Impact (the website of our partner in this campaign)

[link removed]

Controversial sex education for California approved despite protest (Los Angeles Times)

[link removed]
