The political establishment in Washington D.C. wanted to defeat Nina
Turner. Special interests dead set on maintaining the broken status quo
spent big against Nina in her primary for the U.S. House in Ohio. Just
look at how this spending broke down:

against Nina Turner while Justice Democrats' independent spending only
totaled $280,000

If we’re going to win primaries in 2022, we need to match spending from
the establishment, dollar-for-dollar. We’ve won races with less money, but
it’s getting harder and harder to do. Special interests backed by
corporations or the GOP like Democratic Majority for Israel, Third Way,
and Team Blue PAC will spend millions upon millions more to stop Justice
Democrats from winning more primaries.

The relentless smear campaign and big-dollar spending against Nina were
huge obstacles and we’ve ALREADY seen similar smear campaigns begin
against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Cori
Bush.

We can’t afford to fall behind the establishment again. We need to be able
to go big with massive field organizing operations, TV and digital
advertising, and so much more. All to combat the big money,
corporate-backed smears.

because progressives all across the country are doing the same. Together,
