The Republicans held a debate ahead of the recall election last night―and one of their candidates literally was served with a subpoena on stage.¹

But if the recall succeeds, a Republican will become the governor of California. That can only happen if Californian voters are tuned out of the race for the next month.

In California, Republicans are close to throwing out a Democratic governor who was elected with 60% of the vote and installing an anti-vax, anti-mask right-winger in his place.
