These trailblazing suffragettes laid the foundation for the record-breaking number of women who ran for office in 2018. We broke that record AGAIN in 2020 -- and Kamala Harris made history as the first woman of color to be elected Vice President of the United States!
But John, we still have a long way to go to ensure equality for women -- especially women of color -- in our democracy. Our voting rights are under attack as we speak.
