Meet Our Speakers!

Thomas Turner
Thomas Turner a graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at UVA (2016) and Liberty University (2012). He is the New Elected Southern Regional Vice Chairman of the Young Republican National Federation and the Chairman Emeritus of the Virginia Young Republicans. He has been involved in Virginia Republican politics since 2009.


In addition to his roles, Thomas has served in numerous other roles in his State Party including 4 terms as the Vice Chairman of his local city committee, Voting Member and two terms as Secretary of the VA Third Congressional District. He has also served as a member of his State Party Central and Executive Committees. Outside of GOP Leadership, Thomas serves as the Director of Legislative Affairs for Modern Republicans Federal PAC, which supports social inclusivity and youth in the GOP and he also serves on the Advisory Board of Conservatives for Clean Energy.


Thomas has also worked for former Congressman Randy Forbes and has completed the Field Representative program with the Leadership Institute in 2013. He has worked with students of all spectrums of the conservative movement at institutions like Rutgers University, Princeton University, and the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of Republican Party politics, Thomas is employed with the Suffolk Circuit Court and was recently appointed to the Suffolk School Board Safety Audit Committee.
Kyle Luebke
Kyle Luebke is the President of the Log Cabin Republicans of North Carolina and the Treasurer of the Mecklenburg County Young Republicans. He is originally from Illinois, but moved to Charlotte in March of 2018.

He is best known as one of the drafters of the Republican LGBTQ+ non-discrimination ordinance introduced by Charlotte Councilman Tariq Bokhari. Outside of his political activism, he is an attorney at U.S. Bank and the Vice Chair of The Plus Collective, Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s LGBTQ+ Community Fund. He lives in Enderly Park with his partner Bryan and their dog Asher.
