The Voting Rights Act was enacted 56 years ago this month. But voting rights are in more danger than ever.

Last month, the Supreme Court’s conservative majority gutted what little is left of the Voting Rights Act. And just last week, Ted Cruz single-handedly blocked the U.S. Senate from even debating voting rights legislation like the For The People Act.

But we must keep fighting. The fight for voting rights in the Senate is not over.

I need your help to keep up the pressure on the Senate. Will you add your name to my petition and call for action to protect voting rights?

The actual mechanism of our democracy -- voting -- is under a concerted and despicable attack.

Congress can act to stop these attacks. But we can’t do it without you. Republicans try to block every single one of our efforts, so we need a broad coalition of Americans to demand action from the Senate.
