It appears that the House’s third most senior Democrat has finally lost it.
Now in his 36th year of“service” to the nation, my progressive opponent, Peter
DeFazio, chairman of the House Transportation Committee – and the man behind
the push to spend upwards of $3 trillion on government handouts –has let the
power go to his head.

There is no doubt about it: America needs an infrastructure upgrade. Now the
question becomes, “what can be classified as infrastructure?” Well, it may come
as news to many progressives around the country, butfree community college is
by no means“infrastructure.”

Now, I’m not saying that I’m for or against free community college, but when
we’re talking about major legislation that would nationalize higher education,
it deserves a stand-alone debate.

But that’s not something my opponent, aka the Bernie Sanders of the U.S. House
would agree with. He bills himself as a moderate to the voters of our rural
Oregon district, but even a national newspaper recently wrote that“DeFazio is
the rare battleground incumbent who could hardly be confused for a moderate.”

So, you see first, I’m running against the man who is literally on the verge
of bankrupting America, and I’m calling on you for your help today.

I need to make sure the voters of my district know that while we’re in a
pro-Republican congressional district, they’re being represented by one of the
most progressive members of the House.

I’d like to start airing digital ads around the district in an effort to make
sure that if Democrats in the House decide to spend $3.5 trillion on
“infrastructure” without Republican support, they know who is responsible.Can I

Let me make this crystal clear. My progressive opponent calls the bipartisan
infrastructure bill “crap,” simply because Republicans helped negotiate it. So
much for even trying to pretend House Dems believe in working across the aisle
these days. But we already knew that.

We’ve got one more shot to save America from financial ruin and I’m asking for
your help today.

Think of it this way – we’ll never be able to put up a Republican candidate
who can beat Bernie Sanders in Vermont,but I’m the guy who can beat the Bernie
Sanders counterpart in the House next fall.
