In five days Extinction Rebellion UK will hit the streets for the most important Rebellion yet. But we need to raise £50k to make it happen.
Last week the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) announced the starkest alert yet for humanity's future warning of extreme heatwaves, droughts and flooding.
“This report must sound a death knell for coal and fossil fuels, before they destroy our planet,” said UN Secretary General, António Guterres.
Yet, since the pandemic, the world's richest countries have gone the other way, spending $40 BILLION MORE on those lethal industries than on clean energy - the very opposite of ‘building back better’.
We cannot leave this to the politicians. We must act. Extinction Rebellion UK will be on the streets of London from 23rd August, demanding a full stop to all new fossil fuel investments. But we need funds for transport, food, technology, infrastructure and much more.
