Dear John,

The Network of enlightened Women is committed to educating, equipping, and empowering the next generation of principled leaders. This year, we are excited to announce our first-ever Capitol Hill Intern Summit. The Summit will bring together conservative college women for an afternoon of professional development trainings, engaging policy discussions, and networking. The women will become better educated on today’s most important issues and leave confident to lead as positive voices for conservative principles.

The Summit schedule features incredible women. I am particularly delighted to share that we are hosting a panel with three NeW alums who are now leaders on Capitol Hill:
Mara Mellstrom, Chief of Staff, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01)
Samara Brown, Legislative Aide, Senator Ted Cruz (TX)
Charlotte Townsend, Press Assistant and Legislative Correspondent, Congressman Bob Good (VA-05)

The Capitol Hill Intern Summit will take place on Friday, September 17 from 12-3pm ET at the Capitol Hill Club (300 First Street SE, Washington, DC 20003). This FREE event is open to interns and students in the Washington, DC area.

Know a conservative college woman interning or studying in DC this fall? Invite her to register for the Summit today.

Sincerely,

Kathryn Alford
NeW Communications Manager

Our Conservative Woman of the Month is...
NeW has deemed 2021 “The Year of the Conservative Woman.” Each month we are posting a conversation with a featured Conservative Woman of the Month. We are proud to announce our August Conservative Woman of the Month is Marissa Streit, Chief Executive Officer at Prager University.

A Los Angeles native, Streit moved to Israel at a young age, where she completed her primary education and served in military intelligence unit 8200 of the Israeli Defense Force. She returned to Los Angeles to earn her bachelor's degree in Business and Economics from UCLA, and her master’s degree in Education and Non-Profit Management from American Jewish University. Over the next decade, she gained valuable experience both as an educator, a school administrator, and the director of a philanthropic institute.

An innovative leader in the conservative movement, Streit joined PragerU in 2011. Under her dynamic leadership, PragerU has grown quickly into one of the most respected, go-to resources for online education. Her experience in business, education, social media, and the non-profit sector has enabled PragerU to more than double its audience each year, reaching over 5 billion views in 2021.

We hope you will join us on Thursday, August 19 at 2pm ET on Facebook Live for an engaging discussion with our Conservative Woman of the Month.
