August is National Back to School month! Across the state, Kansas' students and teachers are getting ready for another school year. A quality education is key to success and that's why Laura has always fought to put our students first.
When Laura and her husband were deciding to raise their young family, choosing Kansas was the obvious choice. Kansas' schools were second to none, and they knew their daughters would receive a top-notch education.
But the previous administration severely underfunded our schools and Kansas students paid the price.
When Laura took office, our schools were in disarray after years under Sam Brownback's administration. Ensuring our children have access to a quality education not only helps them succeed, but also promotes economic development and helps businesses succeed by providing employers with a highly skilled workforce.
