With the Federal Election having been called for September 20th, the countdown is now on towards a by-election in District 16 Cornwall-Meadowbank, since former MLA Heath MacDonald has had to resign his seat in order to run as a candidate federally.



Last night, the Provincial Council of the Green Party of Prince Edward Island decided to immediately open nominations for District 16 in view of a by-election that we expect to be called very shortly after the September 20th federal election.



We are excited about this opportunity to elect a Green representative for Cornwall-Meadowbank and grow our Green Official Opposition Caucus in the Legislature, and we need your help!?You can become a part of this effort now by:



- Nominatingyourself or someone else to be the Green candidate in the District 16 By-election;

- Volunteering to join our D16 campaign team, and/or the Nomination Screening Committee or Appeals Tribunal needed for this nomination process;

- Applying?to be considered for a larger, paid role as D16 By-election Campaign Manager.
