It's time to STOP THE RECALL!
------------------------------------------------------------

Your recall election ballot may have already arrived in your mail! It looks like this:

Use it now! The recall election is not in November—the recall election is right now, with a deadline of Tuesday, September 14! Vote NO on the recall as soon as you can.

We need to prevent the right wing from removing our Democratic governor from office, and that means first making sure we can vote, and then getting our ballots in well before the Tuesday, September 14 deadline.

If you’re in the City and County of San Francisco, your ballot will come in a white-and-blue envelope. Inside that envelope is the ballot, the instruction sheet (with sticker!), and the white-and-purple return envelope.

Before you cast your ballot, CHECK:
1. Did you mark your ballot (i.e., vote NO on the recall)?
2. Did you put the ballot in the return envelope?
3. Did you sign and date the return envelope, and write your name and address (where you are registered to vote) on it?
4. Do you have a plan for when and how you will cast this ballot?
5. If you’re authorizing someone else to return your ballot for you, is the authorization form in the upper-right corner filled out?

If all of these checks pass, seal up the return envelope and then mail it, drop it off, or however you plan to vote. No postage is required to mail the ballot.

You can cast your ballot either by mail or by dropping it off at City Hall, a voting center, or your local polling place. If you choose to mail it, we recommend doing that no later than Tuesday, September 7—one week before deadline—due to mail delays (thanks, Postmaster General DeJoy). If you choose to deliver your ballot in person, check the Department of Elections website ([link removed]) for details on when and where.

For the full details, read our explainer blog post ([link removed]) about what’s on the ballot to find out why we want you to vote NO on Question 1, how to handle Question 2 about other candidates for governor, and what else you can do to help stop the recall. And when you get your ballot, fill it out and return it as soon as possible—don’t put it off!

Haven’t received your ballot yet? Check its status in the voter portal. ([link removed]) If it’s not on the way, start by checking your registration ([link removed]) . If you aren’t registered to vote, you can register online ([link removed]) if you’re eligible.

Once you’re done, join us to spread the word about voting NO on the Republican recall. Visit our Vote ([link removed]) page to find out about text banking, phone banking, canvassing, postcarding, and more opportunities all the way through Tuesday, September 14th!

Keep Fighting,
