Over the weekend, millions of families across the country got the second installment of the child tax credit through the American Rescue Plan we passed this spring. This measure is predicted to cut child poverty in half -- and is already having a huge impact on working families. 

Last week, congressional leaders continued to fight for our democracy by introducing legislation that would protect your right to vote and guarantee that congressional districts are drawn fairly. 

This month, President Joe Biden extended the eviction moratorium -- which ensured that over seven million Americans were able to stay in their homes -- and the freeze on student debt -- which will help build an equitable recovery to this pandemic. 

That’s what we mean when we say that we're fighting for you, but the work isn't done yet. We must make the child tax credit permanent and overhaul our broken tax code, abolish the filibuster so we can protect our democracy, pass comprehensive housing policy, and cancel student debt. 

We have a bold agenda with working families at the center, so we can’t slow down now. Can I count on you to help build this momentum through the rest of 2021 and into 2022?
