Statement from Josh Mandel

"Today we are seeing the result of Joe Biden’s ineptitude and failure as a leader. If Biden would have followed President Trump’s strategic plan to withdraw in May, today would not be going down in history as Saigon II.

Among the multitude of Biden failures on Afghanistan, his decision to abandon Bagram Air Base before all Americans were evacuated will go down as one of the worst decisions by a Commander-in-Chief in United States history.  Make no mistake, this is a slap in the face to every American who served in Afghanistan over the past two decades.

Notwithstanding the debacle before our eyes, today we pay tribute to the over 2,400 warfighters who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can live free. While Biden failed you, the American people love you and owe you an eternal gratitude for the blanket of freedom that you’ve provided our kids, our communities, and our country.  While others your age sat home playing video games, watching TV, and going to bars, you stood up in the spirit of Isaiah 6:8 and said, “Here I am. Send me.”
