In the aftermath of the 2020 election, Republican lawmakers across the country have rammed through voter suppression laws and procedures on an unprecedented scale.

Requiring voter ID, purging names off voting rolls by the thousands, changing and closing polling places, and restricting access to mail-in ballots are just a few of the tactics we’ve seen lawmakers use to make voting harder.

For some, these laws don’t just make it difficult to vote, they keep them from voting at all. We know for a fact that income - constrained and rural communities, young people, and communities of color are hit the hardest by these laws.

Chris Jones has always been a vocal advocate for voting rights -- from leading a voter registration rally as a Morehouse student to using his platform on the campaign trail to support legislation like the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
