At our southern border, we have a crisis happening right before our eyes.
Since February, over 7,000 COVID-positive migrants have been released just in McAllen, giving the mayor no choice but to order a declaration of emergency.
Our border cities and our brave Border Patrol agents are overwhelmed and stretched thin for resources. And the Biden Administration is completely ignoring their pleas for extra support.
It gets worse. Biden is pushing for mask mandates and vaccine passports for American citizens, but allowing migrants with COVID to freely pour across our border! Does that make any sense to you?
Biden’s open border policies are fueling the unprecedented surges in gang violence, drug and human trafficking, and now, COVID cases. This cannot continue in Texas.
Border security has been and will remain a top priority for me. We are doing everything we can in Texas to protect our border communities.
