As you might have heard, last week I received a twitter DM from Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, a right-wing college organization, challenging me to a debate.

I will not humor him. I will not humor a man who encouraged the January 6th insurrection. I will not humor a man who promotes anti-vaccine ideas on his very large platform. I will not humor a man who is clearly ill-intentioned. ​​​​​​

The messages that Charlie Kirk promotes on his platform are truly damaging -- to democracy, to public health, and to the United States. Will you chip in $5 today to help us stand up to Republicans like Charlie in California and across the country? [[link removed]]

Charlie doesn’t have any good intentions in asking me to debate. My going on his show would only increase his audience and grow his platform. I will not aid in platforming an insurrectionist.
