Veterans served this country to protect and defend American democracy -- not to defend the Senate filibuster. That’s why we are urging senators to pass the For The People Act and to reform the filibuster. Both of these actions would protect millions of Americans’ right to vote and safeguard our democracy. Every American deserves an equal voice in the elections that shape our future. But all across the country, Republican-controlled states are passing egregious voter suppression laws that hit veterans with disabilities particularly hard and threatens to disenfranchise veterans from the democratic rights they sacrificed so much to defend. Tell the Senate to end the filibuster now so veterans and all disabled people have equal access to the polls. Many of America’s 4.7 million veterans with service-connected disabilities can’t drive to a polling place, stand in line for long hours, or go to a crowded or chaotic polling place. If recent rulings are any indication, this conservative Supreme Court won’t protect the right to vote or stand up to the corrosive influence of dark money on America’s democracy. That is why we are demanding that the Senate take action, even if it means ending the filibuster rule that no American took an oath to protect and defend. Add your name to end the Senate filibuster now. Team Brand New Congress
