friend, Over the weekend, The Nation published an op/ed on Critical Race Theory where I describe how the Koch network is using racism and white supremacy to push their self-serving agenda, including privatizing education. Only a day after it went up, the Koch network’s PR machine kicked into gear. Folks from the Koch-funded organization Stand Together contacted the outlet with concerns over my piece. Clearly our organizing tactics are working and the opposition is paying attention. We know that of all the many op/ed pieces we’ve placed over the years, this one in particular is rattling the Koch network because they rely on covert white supremacy to be successful, and to have us name it so explicitly is a threat to their strategy. We will continue to press on with our mission and organizing, because our interests rest in helping the common good, not the corporate elite.
