When the far right is in charge of Washington, working families get left behind.
From the GOP tax bill that capped SALT deductions (to make corporations richer) to their failure to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act -- we've seen enough to know the importance of having leadership that will put our families first.
With a Democratic White House and Congress, we're seeing a lot of progress.
Progress like the Child Tax Credit, which is sending monthly payments of $250-$300 a month per child to families.
Progress like the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which would solidify a robust, long-term, and long overdue investment in American roads, bridges, airports, trains, and drinking water.
But the progress we're making is being threatened by far-right Republicans who will stop at nothing to obstruct our work -- and they’re just a few seats away from a majority.
