It’s bad enough that Gov. Abbott completely abdicated all responsibility when it comes to responding to the COVID-19 surge in our state.  

Now -- worse yet -- Abbott is threatening restaurants and businesses across Texas who are trying to protect their customers with mask mandates and vaccine requirements.

In particular, the TABC threatened to withhold alcohol permits from two Austin restaurants -- Launderette and Fresa’s -- until they stopped requiring proof of vaccination.

Texas hospitals and nursing homes are filled to the brim with COVID-infected patients. Our state is completely devoid of available ICU beds. COVID cases and deaths are at their highest levels since the height of the pandemic.

No other state is suffering as much as ours. And it’s all Greg Abbott’s fault. He has the tools he needs to protect us, but he can’t be bothered.

He must be held accountable. And we at Boot Texas Republicans are committed to doing just that. Can you donate now and help us defeat him in 2022?

Greg Abbott didn’t start this pandemic. But he made it so much worse. Almost every other state is vaccinating its citizens and using mask mandates to stop the spread of the Delta variant.  And it’s working.

But Abbott can’t be bothered to help -- all he can do is suck up to his MAGA base and pretend the pandemic doesn’t exist. And Texans are bearing the brunt of his failures.

Let’s make sure he’s held accountable.
