We cannot miss this moment? ? ? ? ? Friend ? last week, Senate Democrats voted 50-49 to approve a $3.5 trillion budget resolution. This is huge news ? the bill is the most ambitious climate legislation in a generation.

Following the devastating UN climate report, we see this as our best shot ? and maybe our only shot ? to address the crisis at the scale necessary before 2 degrees of warming devastates the planet beyond recognition.

There's a huge problem: From here, the House needs to pass the resolution before committees can work out the details, and we need to make sure moderate Democrats don't get cold feet. And with Congress in recess, Republicans are home in their districts, fearmongering that it all costs too much, even though it would reduce costs for all but the most wealthy and mitigate future climate change-fueled disasters.

Over these next few weeks, our "surge" campaign will represent the most significant environmental campaign on the most important climate legislation in a generation, and we need your help today to make it happen.

So friend, are you with us? Join our campaign with a donation today ? every contribution is being triple matched to meet this urgent moment. All it takes to make a difference is $5 ? [link removed]

Here's a look at just some of what we are doing right now: Deployed a massive field program in eight states and 15 congressional districts, with 15 offices and 100 staff on the ground. Organizers in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia are going door-to-door canvassing to reach residents and businesses to pledge support for bold legislation by displaying "Climate Action Now" signs in their neighborhoods and businesses.Running a media campaign to ensure that key members of Congress feel supported in taking strong action for clean energy, climate, jobs, and justice. Communications include new cable, broadcast TV, and digital ads in 16 states and 23 congressional districts, airing as members of Congress are home for August recess. [link removed]
So far the campaign is working, but we need your support to keep up the intensity leading up to the vote in coming weeks. We know that Members of Congress are reacting favorably to our ads. They are seeing and understanding the strong demand for climate action from their own constituents, thanks to this grassroots movement.

Will you be a part of this campaign? Your support is what allows us to hold events in key congressional districts and states, where climate action will be won or lost. Please, make a gift today while your impact is tripled ? it only takes $5 ? [link removed]

We cannot let up now. From the "code red for humanity" IPCC report to devastating extreme weather and long-standing environmental and racial injustice and economic inequality, it's never been more urgent or more important to act on climate at the scale that science and justice require.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your commitment to this fight. We could not do this work without you.

Onward,
