My team and I have hit what’s called the “summer slump” -- a major slowdown in political donations during the summer months. That means fewer people are opening fundraising emails like this one.

But when you’re running against an incumbent Congressman, especially one with a big national profile like Cawthorn, you can’t slow down.

That’s exactly why we spent the weekend knocking on doors and connecting directly with voters across Western NC.

Our path to victory relies on talking to as many people as we can, as early as we can, and as often as we can. We need to make sure voters hear our campaign message of love, hope, and a new path forward -- and that takes continual organizing and the resources to make that happen.
