Thanks for a great Day of Action!
day of action
A successful day of action was held on 16th June with key partners working hard to make a positive impact in St Ann’s to tackle key issues and engage with residents to listen to issues and concerns and share information about local services and support available.
The team included Councillors, Neighbourhood Development Officers, the Street scene public realm team, Community Protection Officers, Nottingham City Homes, Selective licensing, The Fire services, The Chase Neighbourhood Centre, City Council youth and Play team, Small Steps Big Changes and local residents including children from the Sycamore academy.
The team did deep street clean ups, fly tipping and dog fouling patrols, a community litter picks with local residents from STOP and local children from the Sycamore Academy. We did door knocking to ask residents about issues and concerns and promote the free bulky waste service and free fire safety checks. The Selective licensing team visited properties to make sure landlords are keeping them safe and in good repair.
We also held a lovely community event outside The Chase Neighbourhood Centre with free children’s activities and lots of information and advice stalls, free refreshments and books for children.
