Dear John,
You've shown that the fight against Alzheimer's disease matters to you by joining our community. So, I know you'll be excited by this special announcement I'm sharing with you today.
Two generous supporters who share your commitment, Carolyn Staley and her husband, David, have generously offered to match every gift, up to a total of $50,000, in our $50,000 2X Match Challenge — but only if we can raise that same amount by September 30.
Your gift can achieve twice the impact in helping to provide care and support to those affected by Alzheimer's and advance vital research.
By providing this generous challenge, Carolyn and David are honoring the memory of Carolyn's mother, Betty Ann, who passed away after a long and brave battle with Alzheimer's. Carolyn knows that millions of people are now facing this disease. "It touches so many lives," she says. "It touches everyone's life."
From the threat to ourselves and those we care about to the devastating impact on families and communities around the country, this disease truly touches us all.
Join us today while your gift, up to $50,000, can double in impact: |

Your gift can have TWICE the impact on helping to advance our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
And that's critical. Because today, Alzheimer's is destroying our families, our finances and our future. In 2021 alone, Alzheimer's and other dementias will cost the nation $355 billion.
More than 11 million Americans provide unpaid care for people living with Alzheimer's or another dementia. Last year, they contributed 15.3 billion hours of care valued at nearly $257 billion. While that care can be a labor of love, it can also be a financial challenge for families.
Carolyn herself was a caregiver, helping to care for her mother during the last eight years of Betty Ann's life. Today, she and David are striving to ensure that others won't have to face this disease or lose someone they love. "It scares me," Carolyn says.
You've shown you're ready to join the fight to end this destructive disease by joining our community. I'm hoping you'll make your first gift now and double your impact on our work to provide care and support for the millions affected by Alzheimer's. Thank you very much.
I'm sharing Carolyn's story today. But there are millions of such stories, in families and communities across America.
Until we find a cure for Alzheimer's and all other dementia, we will continue to suffer loss and heartbreak. I appreciate you doing all you can to help. Please make your first gift now, while you can achieve 2X the impact.
Sincerely,
Donna McCullough
Chief Field and Development Officer
P.S. Without caring people like you, progress isn't possible. We're all in this fight together. Please make your best gift now.
