Friend,
Republican conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene cannot tweet for one week. Greene's account was suspended for “repeated violations” of Twitter's rules, most notably spreading dubious lies about COVID-19 vaccines.
As the Delta variant surges, our embattled vaccination effort is being dramatically undercut by Marjorie Taylor Greene's reckless rhetoric. Greene has absurdly claimed that the vaccines are “failing” and recently said that the Food and Drug Administration “should not approve” the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
Marjorie Taylor Greene is using her power and platform as a sitting Congresswoman to perpetuate the worst public health crisis in recent memory. Greene is saying whatever she can to intimidate her constituents, to make them think she is some kind of truth-teller. We know what she really is, friend: a threat to public safety.
As Republicans bemoan Greene's ban, Democrats are applauding Twitter for its swift action. The GOP is already warping this story into some kind of attack on free speech. Progressives are critical thinkers by nature, and we think one week isn't long enough for Greene to sit on the sidelines. What do you think, friend:
Should Twitter unlock Marjorie Taylor Greene's account?
Thank you for your response, friend. It's vital that we hear your views.
