John,

I know I don't usually write to you this late on a Sunday, but I wanted to
send you a quick personal note before tonight's mid-month deadline and ask
if you'll [ [link removed] ]chip in any amount that makes sense for you to support our
campaign for Senate.

By now, you may have heard the news: Today was my 52nd birthday. I'm lucky
enough to share a birthday with my daughter Grace, who turned 10 today.

Grace had a great birthday and mint chocolate chip ice cream cake, her
favorite. Meanwhile, Gisele got me this heartfelt billboard on Route 30
right by our house. 🙄

[ [link removed] ]Gisele bought a billboard for John.

I'll admit I've never been that big on gifts. But I'll go ahead and share
an earnest birthday wish:

As a parent, my #1 hope is that our kids get to inherit a world in which
they can be happy, healthy, and safe. Where the value of honest work is
rewarded fairly, and where every person has a decent shot at success for
themselves and their families.

Call me an optimist, but I don't think that's too much to ask.

I *seriously* believe that leaving this country better than my generation
found it is possible — and that belief is what got me into public service
to begin with. And it's why, alongside my incredible family, I decided to
go for it and join this race for Senate.

Increasingly, politics is often ugly. These past few years have been no
exception. But being a dad, on the other hand, reminds you why it matters
so much to get it right.

There's *so* much at stake. From making sure families can afford to keep a
roof over their heads and their kids fed, to tackling the climate crisis,
to finally curbing the epidemic of gun violence on our streets and in our
schools.

Right now, Democrats have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to make
incredible progress on all of this and more. We just need to lead with
enough courage to make it happen.

So here's my promise to you,
John: If elected to the
Senate, I'll fight as hard for you and your family as I do for my own. And
when it comes time to vote on the most important issues facing our
country, I'll always cast my vote in the Senate with our kids and our
future generations in mind.

With that, I'll let you get back to your Sunday evening. But I'd be remiss
if I wrote to you a few hours before a fundraising deadline and didn't
ask: [ [link removed] ]Will you send a few bucks
our way before midnight to help make sure we can take this fight all the
way to the floor of the U.S. Senate? I'd be so incredibly grateful — and
hey, it is this old guy's birthday after all. 😉

Thank you so much for being a part of this.

— John
