Dear Friend,

It’s official. The Liberals have called an election for September 20, so we are now in campaign mode.

First and foremost, you can count on Greens to stand up for your safety in this first-ever pandemic federal election. Politics should never come ahead of your health and, with a fourth wave of the pandemic underway, I strongly disagree with the Prime Minister’s decision to hold an election.

But given that we are having an election, I hope that you will approach it as an opportunity.

Now is your chance of a lifetime to vote for urgent, ambitious action on the climate crisis; to elect MPs who truly care about their communities; to support reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples; and to offer every person in Canada a life with dignity in a just society.

I am proud to be running to represent Toronto Centre and to join hundreds of outstanding Green candidates across Canada who have put their names forward to represent their communities.

Your vote this election — your vote for your Green candidate — is a vote for hope in our future.

It’s a chance to be daring.

Let’s seize this opportunity together. We need your financial support as we champion progressive policies and this hope for Canada’s future:
