Great meeting tonight, thanks to everyone who came.  We watched Jane McAlevey’s presentation in the first of three video webinars she did for DSA.  We skipped the part of the video that included the Q&A after her talk, but I highly recommend checking it out yourself online: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RMRIrCmmw9-8yShO5roQ1Qi_3vpFThXE/view

Jane is an organizer and the author of “No Shortcuts: Organizing for Power in the New Gilded Age”, and we’ll be watching the other two talks in upcoming meetings.  We’d like to follow the videos with discussion (as we did tonight); that would be facilitated if at least some of us were to read the book (on which the talks are based).  I saw that there are 4 copies available in the CW/MARS system, which is most of the libraries in Berkshire County (except the Pittsfield Library).

Come to our next meeting in November and join in the watch party for part two of Jane’s “No Shortcuts”!  It’s inspiring stuff.

John.
