Hi John,

We’ve communicated before about how harmful SB 202 is, the voting restrictions law Georgia Republicans passed in March. Now using the law, state Republicans are in the beginning stages of taking control of elections in Fulton County, the most populous county in the state.

If they take over Fulton County, they’ll come for my home base DeKalb county next.

We can let that happen. Will you donate to our cause so we can fight to ban political gerrymandering and protect our elections?

When Republicans passed SB 202 into law, they slipped in complex provisions that created a process where a Republican-majority commission could take control of elections away from the county elections board. This could result in a Republican superintendent running Fulton County elections and deciding how the county counts votes and staffs polling places.

Fulton and DeKalb counties are some of the most populated in Georgia, and Republicans know they are what pushed Democrats over the finish line in November. If we don’t stop this anti-democratic effort now, they could ensure Democrats can’t win in the future.

Will you contribute to our campaign so we can put an end to GOP gerrymandering in Georgia? Voters should pick their leaders, not the other way around.

Thank you,

— Hank Johnson
