In case you haven’t been watching the news, it was pretty busy in Washington this week.

After passing the Senate’s bipartisan infrastructure bill, we spent all night in a “vote-a-rama” of amendments before finally approving the framework of a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation package — around 5 o’clock in the morning, without a single Republican voting in support.

Our work isn’t over, and I’ll have more updates in the weeks ahead. But there’s something else I need to talk to you about.

Today is the midpoint of the FEC fundraising quarter. And to be honest, we’re a little behind where we need to be. I don’t want to cut back on our efforts — 2022 is too important — but if we don’t make up ground now, we won’t have any other choice.
