I get it. You probably wonder why I keep writing to ask you to chip in $5 or more today when the midterm election is 15 months away.
Here's why: Republican super PACs are already dumping millions of dollars into Senate races across the country to erase our razor-thin Democratic majority. If that wasn't bad enough, Donald Trump is trying to turn every Republican primary into a referendum on his agenda.
If we lose even one Democratic Senate seat, we will lose the Senate majority and risk the resurgence of Trumpism.
It's critical that we reach tonight's $10,000 mid-month goal or we'll risk needing to revise our plan to fight back. And if we scale back too far too early, our odds of defending our majority -- let alone expanding it -- will drop dramatically.
