Making things worse is the fact that this year’s redistricting process has already begun , and Republicans are determined to use their control over it to gerrymander their way to unearned majorities for the next ten years. Ted Cruz proved that by leading the charge for Senate Republicans that once again blocked redistricting reform in the For The People Act on Tuesday.
The NDRC is fighting back on both fronts : We’re working to expose GOP map manipulators and mobilize our grassroots army in favor of fair maps while simultaneously fighting to defend every American’s right to vote.
But right now, our mission has never been more urgent. If you haven’t heard already, the Census Bureau just released the data states need to finally start drawing the maps that will be in place for the next decade. It’s crucial that we have the resources needed to make sure those maps are FAIR!
