John -- As state legislators and redistricting commissioners begin drawing district maps that will last for a decade, here's an important reminder: Americans don't want them to gerrymander .

So why are Republicans saying they plan to do it anyway? Because they don't care what the people want and they are determined to hang onto power by any means necessary .

Here's the thing -- gerrymandering allows Republicans to escape accountability at the ballot box. Just think about Congress members like Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene -- if they had to run in more competitive districts, there's no way they would be able to be so extreme and still win reelection!
For the past four years, we at the NDRC have been building our movement and our strategy to stop map manipulation, and we're finally ready to execute. That means we need you more than ever, John.
