Not only is Tish James a bold progressive leader, she has the rare experience of taking on the biggest fights in politics -- like investigating Donald Trump and his crimes. So as New York looks to replace Andrew Cuomo and restore decency and integrity to that once great office, Tish James is exactly the right person for the job.
That's why When Democrats Turn Out has established our Run Tish Fund to show Tish James that there is a nationwide movement of grassroots supporters begging her to run for governor. Like many of you, we see Tish James' potential to not only accomplish a great deal for the state of New York but also inspire other Democrats. The problem is that there is an entire political machine supporting Andrew Cuomo that wants a hand-picked replacement to come in and squash any investigation or criminal charges related to his sexual harassment and workplace abuse. That can't happen. Unless we stand up to Cuomo, we will be sending the message to Trump and every other Republican that our disgust at their own criminal behavior is just politics. This isn't about politics. This is about truth, justice, and integrity.
