Throughout
our journey to push for systemic change, I have been honored to stand
in solidarity with and in support of AOC and other fighters like Cori Bush
in the movement toward the progress we know in our hearts is possible.
The visceral
push back the Squad and all other progressive people of color face is by
design. Oppressors have always used our race and gender to
justify oppression and dehumanization. Trump and this Administration are a symptom that grows from the root of systemic
white supremacy. We are fighting a historic battle.
We must all understand that legislation will never be enough. We must go beyond treating symptoms.
This
