I know that if we want to keep both houses of Congress in Democratic hands next year, we have to have historic turnout led by an unprecedented number of female candidates. We have to organize everywhere and speak to our accomplishments for the American people.

So this weekend, I’m in Kentucky using my platform to support Democrats and encourage women to run for office and get out to vote. Will you make a donation right now so we can build a movement to defeat Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul?

Kentucky is quite different from my home in the Virgin Islands, but I know women here have the power to single-handedly put an end to Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul’s political careers.

I mean, who would have thought that Georgia would turn blue? Who would have thought that Arizona would have voted for a Democratic president or that, in fact, other places outside of Arizona, Texas for example, are increasingly electing more and more Democrats to office.

That’s why I’m so thrilled to be here supporting Kentucky Democrats and encouraging women to run for office and get out and vote, so we can encourage the next generation of leaders to get involved in politics. But this trip is only possible thanks to the generosity of our amazing team of grassroots supporters like you.

I’m looking forward to traveling all over the country over the next year to encourage my fellow women and communities of color to run for office, vote and help defeat some of the most extreme politicians in Washington, but I need your support.
