As I’m running to flip Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat blue, I asked someone on the campaign trail about vaccines. Her name is Candy, and she told me she was considering getting vaccinated but hadn’t yet because she was worried about "the nanobots."

I thought, "Oh, okay, Candy might just be nuts. Nothing I can do here." But then I talked to her for another 5 or 10 minutes…

Candy wasn’t crazy. These lies were virtually all she was hearing from politicians and crooks online and on TV -- corrupt liars who are willing to let people die because they think it’ll help them win elections.

I believe it's long overdue to elect people to Congress who tell the truth and want to serve America -- not people who just want power and will lie and cheat to get it. Can you chip in $3 to my 2022 U.S. Senate campaign in Missouri?

Even with that, Candy was considering getting vaccinated.

She told me, "My brother just died of COVID, and I've been cleaning out his house for the past week."

Shocked, I said, "Woah, I'm so sorry Candy."

Candy said "Yeah, you remind me of him. He was a veteran.”

I suggested to her that maybe for this vet, she could go get vaccinated. And I added, "Candy, I just left the Pentagon after 4 years. We helped fund the research and development for the vaccine. I can assure you, 0 nanobots. It’s safe."

She said, "Thank you. I was really torn after my brother, and I just needed to hear that from someone I felt like I trusted."

These politicians could go out there and say the right thing and literally save lives. But they're not doing it -- because at the end of the day, they think they'll have more power if they just keep lying.

My service didn’t stop in the military. As a U.S. Senator and a progressive, I will fight for every American. Please chip in $3 to help me serve you in the halls of Congress.

After decades of being subjected to division and distraction by our broken politics, I think some of us have a tendency to dismiss people like Candy. But it’s our duty as Americans to do better.

We have a duty to protect ourselves and each other. So I'm asking: If you haven’t gotten a vaccine already, go get one. And if you are vaccinated but have loved ones who aren’t -- have that conversation. Be the one they can trust. Then tell them to go get vaccinated.

Please chip in to my campaign to flip Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat blue in 2022 and expand our Senate majority.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
