Last week, we celebrated the 56th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act and were reminded that the freedom to vote is sacred -- and it has never been more endangered than it is right now.
Since 2020, Republicans have undermined our electoral process, incited a deadly insurrection, and expedited hundreds of voter suppression laws all in the name of a wannabe authoritarian.
We succeeded in protecting our democracy once, but that fight isn't over, John. Now we have to do everything we can to safeguard our elections, and protect every American's right to vote.
The House has done its job in passing the For the People Act. Now the Senate must act.
Republicans would love nothing more than for the American people to forget about this crucial legislation, but we're not letting up. As Mary Gay continues the fight for voting rights in Washington, we need to know where her most engaged supporters stand:
