As the Finance Director for Team Bowman, a large part of my day is thinking about how to make sure our movement has what it needs to in order to run smoothly. I give a lot of thought into how much we need to fundraise by specific dates in order to be able to carry out our plans for campaigning and outreach.
Unfortunately, our fundraising is lagging behind this August — more than we were anticipating at this time of the month.
So, my team and I crunched some numbers: if at least one out of every 10 people who read this email give $3 (or more), we'll reach our mid-month goal to raise $5,000 over email — the minimum amount we need to get back on track — in no time.
Can I count on you to and chip in now? Our fundraising deadline is this Monday, August 16, at midnight, so there's not much time left:

I'll be the first to admit that keeping up strong fundraising for a grassroots, people-powered campaign can be a challenge. Our decision to reject all corporate PAC and lobbyist money doesn't make fundraising any easier — but John, it's the only way we'd ever run things.
Team Bowman supporters are educators, students, service industry workers, retirees, organizers, and more. That's who Jamaal answers to and works for in Congress — not dark money interests and whoever can cut the biggest checks.
We don't need hundreds of millions of dollars to run our campaign, John — but fueling our work now and beyond in 2022 requires resources. It is critical that we pick up our fundraising and reach our $5,000 goal by midnight on Monday, August 16. Please, chip in $3 or whatever you're able to now.
