Hi Friend,

Did you see this email from my colleague Kristin? An alarming report from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) this week underlined what's at risk if we do nothing to reduce our carbon emissions and move away from oil and gas: Billions of lives.

Now is the time to sound the alarm and scale up our campaigns against the fossil fuel industry. But we need your support to maximize our impact. Every dollar you give will go directly towards lobbying our lawmakers, educating Pennsylvanians about the importance of climate action, and fighting back against Big Polluters whose bottom lines are threatened by the transition to a clean energy economy.

Please, friend, pitch in with an emergency contribution today >> [[link removed]]

Members like you make our campaigns possible — and we're counting on you in moments like this. Otherwise we risk more fires, floods, and heatwaves devastating and uprooting our communities.

Thanks for all that you do.

Hi —

I’m still reeling from the IPCC report that says that we must bring the world all the way to zero carbon emissions by 2050 to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

My kids are 4 and 2. By the time they’re my age, they and their entire generation are going to be suffering from catastrophic heat waves, fires, droughts, flooding, and hurricanes at a level and frequency that I can barely wrap my head around.

There’s time to avoid the worst predictions so that our children and grandchildren can have the climate that our parents and grandparents remember, but that window is closing very, very fast.

That’s why our top priorities are getting Pennsylvania to massively reduce its carbon pollution by joining other states in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and getting Congress to pass massive investments in clean energy production, electrification, and energy efficiency.

We can accomplish these goals this year if enough Pennsylvanians get loud. Conservation Voters of PA is going all in, mobilizing people to make phone calls, sign petitions, show up at virtual and in-person town halls, and share their stories.

The best way you can help right now is by chipping in to support these campaigns — your contribution will be put to work on these fights and others like it immediately. [[link removed]]

Because Pennsylvania is a natural-gas producing state, the actions our leaders take will have an immediate impact.

Take methane pollution, for example. Cutting methane pollution is actually the fastest way to slow global warming. [1] Natural gas operators in Pennsylvania emit well over a million tons of methane pollution each year, which means that if we cap these methane leaks, we can make a real dent in eliminating a major cause of climate change.

Our political leaders at every level must make the climate crisis a top priority and pass bold policies if we’re going to reach zero carbon pollution in our kids’ lifetime. And the only way that’s going to happen is if we mobilize person by person like we never have before.

This is where you come in. Any contribution you make will go directly towards our advocacy efforts. It’ll help drive meetings with members of Congress. It’ll help run digital ads targeting key lawmakers to act on climate. It’ll rally grassroots support from across the Commonwealth.

Friend, can you chip in to our campaigns to make Pennsylvania a changemaker in the fight for our children’s future? [[link removed]]

Thanks for all that you do.
